Hyped Before The Game

Dominic Raiola commented on his hatered for the state of Texas and everything Texas which fueled the Texas players to play an inspired game against the Cornhuskers.

Texas became the first team since Oklahoma in 1985-87 to beat Nebraska three straight times in the regular season with its upset in Texas before the biggest football crowd in the history of the State of Texas.  The 1st half was all Nebraska with the Huskers leading 13-3 at halftime and the Blackshirts limiting Texas QB Major Applewhite to only 47 yards passing and a 45 percent completion rate.  But during the 2nd half, the Major came up with crucial pass completion and got the job done when he had to.  These coupled with Nebraska costly fumble at the goal line cause Nebraska to be beaten for the first time this season.  All in all, Nebraska lost three fumbles and Texas longhorns capitalised on all those three fumbles.  Texas put the first point on the board on a 43 yards field goal courtesy of Eric Crouch fumble on the NU 42.  Second qtr. is all Nebraska; 2 field goals and a TD run by Correll Buckhalter.  Third qtr. is all Texas; 1 TD run and a 13 yard pass to their star receiver, Kwame Cavil.  Fourth qtr. is even; 1 TD run by Eric Crouch for NU and a 17 yards pass by UT.
